Assembly Evaluation
The first presbytery meeting of 2025 was held February 11 via Zoom. Rev. Karol Schilling (Normal, First) led us in a time of evening prayer. Rev. Elissa Bailey, Stated Clerk, introduced the evening’s offering for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance with stories and photos of her experiences volunteering for PDA relief efforts.

Highlights from the February 11 Presbytery Assembly Inluded:
  •  finance reports 68 of 84 PGR churches (89%) paid their 2024 per capita in full.
  • Brandy Walters, PGR’s new Communications and Administrative Assistant, was introduced
  • Aledo Sunbeam held final worship service on December 29, 2024.
  • Motion passed to allow Orion, Beulah United to sell their manse.
  • AC was established in response to a vote by the session and congregation of Morton, First to close, following their final worship service on April 27.
  • RE Diane Ludington (Carthage, First) and TE Maura McGrath Nagle (Rio, Rio PC) introduced the newly constituted Committee on Accessibility, Representation, and Equity (CARE),​
