Highlights from the April Assembly
- Led in prayer by Rev. Kay Daniel (Chatham PC) for the community of Chatham, as it grieves the death of four children and the injury of several others in a tragic accident
- Welcomed Sarah Koplinski, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Blackburn College, who shared with us about the school’s unique programs
- Engaged in table conversations about the presbytery restructuring proposal from the Governance Task Force
- Celebrated the 190-year ministry of Aledo Sunbeam United Presbyterian Church, heard the final report of the Administrative Commission that has worked to dissolve the church, and dismissed the AC with gratitude
- Voted to enroll Jamie R. Kaiser as an inquirer under care of the Presbytery
- Elected Rev. Tim Snart (retired) to serve a 2-year term on the Committee on Ministry
- Voted in support of all the proposed amendments from the 2024 General Assembly
- Heard from Siobhan Warren about the Messy Church ministry at Jacksonville First and its transformative impact on the families that are participating
- Worshiped God together and celebrated the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper
- Shared fellowship and a meal
