Welcome to the Presbytery of Great Rivers
We are a "mid-Council" of the PC(USA), serving 8,600+ members (2023) from 82 congregations in the central and west-central region of Illinois, and is home to the "great" Mississippi and Illinois rivers. We have every kind of community: urban, suburban, small town, and rural, stretching from as far north as Rock Island and East Moline to as far south as Carrolton and Carlinville, from as far west as Warsaw and Quincy to LeRoy and Chenoa in the east. 2026 Per Capita: $39 per member (GA $11.26, Synod $3.81, PGR $23.93) This money supports the ministries of our Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly. Churches are assessed this apportionment for each active member of their congregation. The work of the PGR staff is supported by per capita giving. Each church's per capita is based on the final membership reported on December 31, 2024.
2026 IRS Standard Mileage Rates Beginning January 1, 2026, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car, van, pickup, or panel truck will be:
